In the very early planning stages for this course, I had intended to end the semester with the game Spore–which (at one point in time) was to have been released in March. But now the much anticipated game has been delayed. Again.
According to Next Generation, an industry newsletter:
Stocks were down over 3.5 percent, or $1.88 to about $51 in midday trading on the Nasdaq stock market. The company revealed during its quarterly conference call yesterday that it had taken Spore out of its financial forecasts for the current fiscal year ending March 2008. The game may be delayed to fiscal 2009.
