Tufte and PowerPoint

April 18th, 2007 by Rob · 2 Comments

Here’s Edward Tufte’s site, per our conversation in class: The Work of Edward Tufte and Graphics Press.

I also have a copy of The Cognitive Style of PowerPoint (first edition, apparently) if anyone wants to borrow it—just let me know. You can also view a preview of the essay on the shuttle Columbia accident: PowerPoint Does Rocket Science—Assessing the Quality and Credibility of Technical Reports.

Also: As I mentioned in class, Tufte teaches a workshop in Arlington (Crystal City). The price for full-time students not currently employed is $200; otherwise it is $380.
